If the person has never been entered into the Developmental Disabilities Services System: You should contact the *Acadiana Area Human Services District (formerly OCDD) at 337-262-5610.

If the person has already been entered into the Developmental Disabilities Services System:
You should contact the person's supports coordinator at the Case Management Agencies listed below to discuss options and services available in your respective area. The supports coordinator will make the necessary contacts with agencies of your choice for the services you are requesting. If the person is not currently linked to a supports coordinator, you should contact *Acadiana Area Human Services District to see who you should be corresponding with.

*Acadiana Area Human Services District (formerly OCDD) is a department of the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals and is the single point of entry into the Developmental Disabilities Services System. It oversees public and private services and other supports and services for people with developmental disabilities. It offers community-based services and supports for people who are disabled through the Medicaid Home and Community-based Waiver programs. Types of home and community based waivers currently available include New Opportunities Waiver (NOW), Supports Waiver, and Children's Choice Waiver. Each waiver program has specific service packages and eligibility requirements. Waiver opportunities are dependent upon funding and offered on a first-come first-served basis through the Request for Services Registry.
